How Long Do Brakes Last?
Brake pad wear is very dependent on:
- Your driving style
- The type of journey you regularly take
- The size and type of your vehicle
- Whether the pads are fitted to the front or rear
Given that most of the braking is performed at the front of your vehicle, front brake pads usually wear quicker than those at the rear.
As a guide, given a neutral driving style with standard pads fitted, front brake pads are estimated to last between 30,000 and 60,000 miles.
